Lucas - Answered a Question by Baker (19 Sep 15 20:15)

The cabins are equipped with standard, 110 volt American sockets (two flat pins plus a round earth pin), plus at least one 220 volt, European socket (with two round pins plus an earthed side connector). Most kindle and phone chargers are dual voltage, so you should pack suitable American and European adapters. You will find a wall mounted hairdryer in the bathroom, plus a dual voltage shaver socket. Round pins on UK shavers are too fat for the shaver socket, so you should also pack a European shaver adapter (with slightly slimmer pins). The shaver socket is suitable for shavers and electric toothbrushes only, so do not try to plug your own hairdryer into the shaver socket. It will blow the fuse!

Thanks again "Lucas" for your answer - hopefully this time this is going to you directly instead of my answer as I've now worked out what to do!

Thanks very much for your detailed reply. We do usually take various adapters etc with us and I prefer to use my hairdryer(dual voltage) in the main cabin anyway so glad to see there is a socket available. Can't understand why Azamara don't seem to have any info on their website about it but pleased there are people like you who do!

All RCI/Celebrity/Azamara ships have both USA and European plug sockets in all their cabins.

There is also a hand held hairdryer in the cabin, so no need to take your own!
