First thing to do is go to the Pursers Desk asnd get the service charge removed or nominate a lower figure to be deducted. There is no hassle to this all you ahve to do is sign a for,. We did this and gave tips to cabin steward and dining room personnel independently. You can casual dine in the Horizon Court at anytime. Have a brilliant trip. Sue.

Happy Birthday, yes if you have chosen fixed dining there are other resturants you can use including 24 hour buffet option so don't worry. I never have every night at my fixed table. The service charge for bar tips is included in the drinks prices so you dont suddenly end up with a huge bill, you know what you are paying when you order, all bars have tarrifs listed. The meal tips work out at anything up to 6 per person per day, you can always go to the pursors offer to dispute the tips if you feel you have not received good service. And yes you will be able to use hair straightners and a hair dryer is included in cabins on most if not all princess ships.

You do not have to stick to the same restaurant every evening, you can go to most of the other ones. I found the best way to deal with the service charge was to pay some of it off throughout the cruise rather than waiting until the end. The size of your bill depends how much you have from the bar so this can vary, you can use hair straighteners onboard just remember to take an adaptor.

Some cruise lines give you envelopes to put your tips in for different members of staff on board or you can go to the pursers desk and say that you wish to pay the 'waiters, cabin crew' etc personally yourself and not have it taken off your bill at the end of the cruise, remember to take some envelopes with you,or you can ask around other passengers, it also sometimes tells you in your cruise letter that you get every evening in you cabin. I hope I have been some help to you, and wish you a brilliant cruis.

We cruised on Sea Princess at Easter it was fabulous! We signed to opt out of the daily service charge as we had our two teenage children with us and it would have been a daily charge for all four of us. It was very easy and at the end of the cruise we put our tips in the envelopes provided. Many passengers did the same. There is no problem using hair straighteners -there isn't even any need for adaptors. We also chose fixed dining but whenever we felt like it we dined in the buffet or Italian restaurant you can even have room service 24 hrs a day free of charge. You will have a brilliant cruise -enjoy!

Yes you can go to the Horizon for casual dinning. As far as tipping goes go to the pursers desk and get the tips removed, then you can tip the ones you want at the end of the cruise. They will have envelopes for you to put your tips in. Sorry your stuck with the 15% on drinks.
